Search engines need to index your website before they can get rankings. But it’s not always obvious if the search index is on the right page. There may be no content to be written. And content that should n’t be indexed too often is.
After evaluating your website’s traffic, indexing is the next step in technical search engine optimization. Use the following six steps to ensure that the right pages are indexed on your e-commerce website.
For estimation, the Pages report in Google Analytics shows all the URLs that received visitors. Go to Actions> Site Content> All Pages and place the desired date number in the upper right corner. Then go to the bottom right. The number of rows is the pages on your site that brought in at least one view.
If not, add the URL from all the XML maps. But make sure your site map is accurate. For example, many of the XML web maps generated automatically do not have product features, such as the URL for a page selling sweaters with “black” and “cotton” filters applied.
